Big Brutus
.Last Friday we went on a little trip about 45 mn away to a small town in Kansas. They have this massive Ground excavator (I think that's what it's called at least) .It's 16 stories tall. Man was it ever windy. The kids were pretty scared trying to get up into it. You had to go on some cat walks to get there. They were glad when they got up in it because it was pretty interesting. Except for Anna, she was freaked out by the sound of the wind.

First teeth!
Aaron, who is almost 7, has lost his first two teeth! He's so happy, and proud! Take a look at his cute little face!

It's been awhile......
Well, it's been a while since I actually posted anything of substance on here. :) Lets just say I've been busy.
The most recent happenings have been the closing down of both of my internet businesses. I had closed down Lotions and Notions, but opened up Soap Haven, but then realized I was NOT being obedient to God. So I closed that one down as well. It fills good to not have anything like that pressing down on me right now. God is drawing our focus onto our children. Tying hear strings and doing lots of home school...... We are coming to appreciate the presence of our children more in our lives. For some of you parents this may come naturally, but for us it does not, but God seems to be helping us a lot in this area right now.
Also God is drawing us closer to Him. It has been neat to see the changes he is making in our hearts. Actually it has been really exciting and I want more of it!
Okay, the fire is dieing and the wood box is empty so I'm off to refill it.
Have a blessed day!

First snow

We FINALLY got our first snow on Sunday. The children were sooooooooooo very excited to wake up and see the flakes coming out of the sky. Unfortunatly it was only a dusting, except for on the picnic table. The children tried to make a snowman on it, but it didn't work out very well. They are excitedly awaiting the next snow. Aaron seems to think that since it's snowing it must mean that it is Christmas. So he doesn't understand why he can't have his presents yet! We are in the process of trying to make an advent calender out of paper. I'll post a picture of that when we get it done.

Fluffy Butt

This our new cat Fluffy. The people that gave her to us called her fluffy butt, so we omitted the butt part of it. She is a sweet cat and is constantly stalking the mice. Though I'm not sure she's actually ever caught any!

brrrrr....
Brrrrrr.....It's so cold in here right now. It's 12:19 am right now, and I'm sitting here waiting for the fire to build up so I can go to bed. We've been gone all day at a friends house and came home to a very chilly dwelling place with it being in the 20's outside.
It's been a while since I posted. I've been pretty busy with Lotions and Notions. And speaking of that, I'm going to be closing it down here in a few weeks, so if you want to stock up, now's the time to do it. FYI I will be selling the remainder of my soap at a discounted price the last week of business. But only the remainder which may not be much. After I close down the site I will still be sewing pads and diapers for whomever wants to continue buying them. And I will also be making soap for those who want to buy a whole batch of soap. That would be about 32 bars. It can be made to your specifications (scent, oils...) and you can have 2 scents because one batch fits into 2 large molds......
Yep, I think I better get off of here and hit the hay cause I'm not sure I'm making sense any longer! :)
